ABOUT PRECISION QUALITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

ABOUT PRECISION QUALITY (PQ™) INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

The Precision Quality (PQ™) Internship programme trains and equips young people with the soft and employability skills needed for the world of work. This programme boosts competency-based learning, precision, and accuracy of work and elevates the standard in the delivery of tasks. It is open to all young Ghanaians aged 18 to 35 years old (especially young women) who are “Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEET)” and are looking to upskill, reskill and enhance their technical competencies.

The Design & Technology Institute runs this programme in collaboration with Accents & Art. It is worth approximately $5,000 per person but will be fully funded for all those who will be selected to participate.

The goal is to bridge the gap between students’ academic preparation and real-world/industry needs, thereby enhancing graduates’ employability and guaranteeing them access to fulfilling and dignified jobs.

The programme will admit graduates from Institutions across Ghana’s 16 regions. Training locations will be in Accra, Takoradi, Ho, Kumasi, and Tamale

Programme Duration:

The training aspect of the programme (where participants are upskilled and reskilled and made ready for industry) lasts 6 months. Participants will be trained in soft skills (e.g., mindset shift, entrepreneurship, communication, leadership, business and financial literacy) and hard skills (technical, vocational, and creative abilities).

Post-Training Opportunities :

After completing the training and project work, participants will be placed in jobs where they can earn a substantial income to support their livelihoods. Those found capable will be assisted in setting up their own business and granted seed capital.
